IAIC 2019
IAIC 2019
The 4th International Agricultural Innovation Conference (IAIC) was held at the University of Oulu, Finland from August 7th to 9th 2019. The conference focused on the issues of Agriculture Innovation, Agriculture Sustainability and Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship. 18 experts and scholars from 11 countries presented research on Agricultural Innovation of different countries and 22 papers were presented. An industrial meeting was held before the conference to encourage cross-industries and cultural exchange and communication. During the field trip, participants visited a private minor. They enjoyed local cuisine with the sound of choir along the lakeside, enabling them to "feel" and experience the wonderful city in Finland.

IAAS Annual Meeting 2019
IAAS Annual Meeting was held at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand on 9th November 2019. Scholars and experts from United States, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore, specialized in the fields of agricultural sustainability, digital eco-system, blockchain and value chain were invited to share their point of view on the connection between the sustainability of value chain in the agriculture sector and the sustainable foods in Asia-Pacific. Besides the exchange during the meeting, collaboration between members were also formed and they are planning to reunite in Maryland, USA.

68th United Nations Civil Society Conference
IAAS was invited to attend the 68th United Nations Civil Society Conference held in the Salt Lake City, USA in August 2019. The conference discussed about challenges and solutions of urban life and the modern world. Representatives of IAAS gave a speech about sustainable solutions for challenges of urban life that highlighted the value of blockchain technology in ensuring traceability and food security.

Fragrance Aesthetics Industrial Forum 2019
The Fragrance Aesthetics Industrial Forum was held in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada from September 16th to 19th 2019, focusing on The Key to Anti-aging & Health Care. Speakers shared about the relationship between inflammation and diseases and the cellular environment, hoping to provide the concept of health care from the preventive point of view. With the presence of many participants and the great emphasis placed on health care, engaging discussion was carried out, providing a fruitful session.

Fragrance Aesthetics: Taiwan International Tea Expo 2019
Founder of a SG Agribusiness's Field Trip in Taiwan

To promote the concept of healthcare, the founder of IAAS established a brand named, "Fragrance Aesthetics." Fragrance Aesthetics attended the Taiwan International Tea Expo in November 2019. During the event, products built on the ideology of developing the right natural healthy living concept such as Fine Tea Series, Coffee, beverages made of Bilberry and Antrodia cinnaamomea were showcased. The natural ingredients of these beverages received a lot of love and recognition from professionals and members of domestic and international societies.
IAAS was honored to have Mr Ankesh Shahra, an Agriculture Investor based in Singapore to have a field trip in Taiwan during end of November 2019. He visited many research units, including the World Vegetable Center. He applauded the agricultural innovation of Taiwan after visiting agricultural technology firms and having a taste of the vegetables. With that, Mr Shahra is planning to asses the partnership plan, encouraging the collaboration between Agricultural Technology of Taiwan and India.

The International Conference of Smart Food and Value Chain was held at Chung Hsing University, Taiwan in June 2019. The conference focused on Value Chain Analysis and Smart Food with the rising concern of poor diet and environmental issues such as climate change. Dr. Ravi Khetarpal, Executive of APAARI was present to share valuable insights.
Agricultural Innovation Business Training Course is also known as the Mini MBA. It was held twice in Taiwan in February and April 2019. The Mini MBA helps participants understand the past, present and future of agriculture and how to raise its value through introducing new forms of agriculture. Through the visits to leisure farms and organizations, participants were able to experience themselves and gain knowledge about operations.

RIE 2020 Urban Solutions and Sustainability
Despite the resource constraints and climate change, the Singapore Urban Solutions and Sustainability (USS) domain aims to improve built and natural environment through interdisciplinary approach in RIE 2020. This includes recovery of energy with used water treatment and research into different mode of transports. USS are looking into collaboration with industry partners create economic value and establish Singapore as an international hub for sustainable urban solutions.
