The International Film Music Society (IFMS) is a non-profit organization established by professionals from the film and music communities and by enthusiasts in this field with a deep desire to promote and explore this fascinating world of artistic expression. The society promotes performance and educational experiences for all ages and degrees of involvement whether it is professional, enthusiast or young people wishing to become professionals in this field.

The Society aims to educate the general public about the art of music whether it is through composing or performance with the goal to understand and appreciate the importance of film music scores that play such an important role in any film that we all enjoy watching. What would a film be without a soundtrack?

The Society works to find sponsorship and collaboration for all events from public and private entities to ensure live performances, copyright payments, and commissions of new scores and educational activities of the highest level. The aim of the Society is to make music have a much more importance in the lives of everybody and to try to encourage much more economical involvement from businesses, private individuals, public entities with the idea to make music an important social event, a great opportunity and excuse to do business and bring corporations and people together through one of the most beautiful arts that man has been able to create.
