Event Details

The European Union is delighted to invite you to the upcoming seminar "EU F&B: unlocking new trade opportunities" that will take place at the Intercontinental Xian North.

This seminar is part of the European Union's "Colours by Europe" communication campaign, that promotes the safety, quality and authenticity of EU agri-food products and drinks in China.

Another pillar of this campaign is to raise awareness about the Geographical Indication (GIs) schemes in Europe. The EU and China signed a bilateral agreement on 14th September 2020 to protect 100 EU GIs in China and 100 Chinese GIs in the European Union against usurpation and imitation. This agreement is expected to result in reciprocal trade benefits and increased consumers' awareness and demand for high-quality products on both sides. It reflects the commitment of the EU and China to deliver on their commitment and to adhere to international rules as a basis for trade relations.

This event will be hosted by two F&B experts, Chef Zhang Zhenyu and Advanced Sommelier Henry Wu, who will share their expertise and insights on how EU food and drinks represent a business opportunity for different players in the supply chain in China.

You will have also the opportunity to taste a selection of EU food and beverage.
