The QBPC Legal Committee and Shanghai Bar Association, IP Committee (SBA IP Committee) would like to hold a workshop on the Hot and New Topics of Copyright at the Bar Association Office in Shanghai on August 23, 2024 (Friday).

The workshop will cover the basics of copyright protection, the latest research and case studies, and the identification and response to copyright infringement, especially in the current context of AI technology. It will also have an in-depth discussion about the intersection of AI and copyright law and an exploration of copyright ownership and protection in AI creations.

The workshop will invite Lawyer Xiaobing Wang, Lawyer Gang Fu, Professor Mianqing Wang and Lawyer Feng Liu to present on following topics:

• The Protection Practice of Works of Applied Art and Its Implications
• The Application of the Legitimate Source Defense Rules in the Copyright Infringement Cases
• The Normative Nature and Application of the Duty of Care of Service Providers
• The Conflict and Countermeasures between Artificial Intelligence Generated Content and the Copyright Law
