The German Chamber of Commerce cordially invite you to the Legal & Tax Workshop: "The Setup of a Modern Compliance Function in China" on June 4th, 2019 at 6:30pm.

 

Our two speakers, Koon Liang Ang, the Compliance Officer of BASF China and Kenny Shek, Director of AlixPartners will co-present and discuss the setup of a modern compliance function in and for China. They will take the audience through a compliance maturity model followed by an insightful discussion on challenges faced by an in-house compliance head.


About the Speakers:


Koon Liang Ang is currently the Compliance Officer of BASF China. Koon Liang has held both legal and compliance roles with various MNCs in Malaysia, Singapore and now China. Specifically, for compliance, Koon Liang has had the chance to experience how compliance function was managed globally and locally and journeyed through the various stages of maturity level of compliance function.


Kenny Shek is a director of AlixPartners. Kenny has spent almost 20 years advising and helping clients across Europe, US and Asia. Kenny's work in China has focused on anti-corruption compliance and fraud investigations for multi-national clients. Kenny has led numerous FCPA investigation and fraud investigations in various sectors including automotive, pharmaceuticals, construction and engineering.
