Philippe Snel has been practicing as a foreign lawyer in China for over 20 years. He founded DaWo Law Firm Shanghai and has advised numerous foreign investors on establishing and growing their businesses in China. In recognition of his contributions to Shanghai's development, he received the Silver Magnolia Award from the Shanghai Municipal Government in 2021 and currently serves as Counsellor for Economic Diplomacy at the Belgian Consulate General in Shanghai.
Dan Xu is a partner leading the Intellectual Property & Data Compliance practice at DaWo Law Firm in Shanghai. With degrees from East China University of Political Science and Law and Leiden University, Dan brings deep expertise in IP, data privacy, and commercial law. She advises international and Chinese clients on trademarks, patents, unfair competition, and digital compliance, drawing on her experience at both Chinese and European law firms.
