[Webinar] Air Travel Update with Lufthansa, Swiss Consulate & Swiss Tourism

While business and leisure travels are picking up in Europe again, intercontinental travel to mainland China is still heavily restricted due to visa regulations and constraints for airlines companies. SWISS and Lufthansa are two of the airlines that are running regular flights between Switzerland / Germany and mainland China and Hong Kong. While the current number of flights is still very low, the airlines are working hard to have more flights approved.

To discuss the current situation and the near future of intercontinental flights to cities in mainland China, we are delighted to invite Mr. Veli Polat as one of the speakers to this webinar. Mr. Polat is Senior Director Sales Greater China for the Lufthansa Group Airlines and he will give us an update covering the following:

• Prevention and control measures
• Required health and safety policies at airports
• Entry / exit China rules and regulations
• Lufthansa Group's updated flight schedule
• An update regarding re-booking policies

Additional speakers who contribute to this webinar are Mr. Peter Staeheli Quednau and Mr. Simon Bosshart.

Mr. Peter Staeheli Quednau, the Head of Visa Section at the Consulate General of Switzerland in Shanghai, will present the following area:

• Basic conditions of entry to Switzerland
• Entry restrictions to Switzerland due to COVID-19
• Hardship cases for business travelers
• Quarantine in Switzerland
• Entry requirements to Switzerland for transit air travel

Mr. Simon Bosshart, who is the Director for the Chinese market at Switzerland Tourism, will cover the following points:

• The impact of COVID on the Swiss tourism industry
• Pre-conditions for a recovery of tourism
• Recovery activities in the Chinese source markets
• Global status and outlook 2020 and beyond
