Dear VDMA member,

A new policy cycle is taking shape in China. In early March, during the Two Sessions meetings, the new 15th Five-Year Plan is expected to be officially adopted by the National People's Congress. The plan will set the direction for the country's development over the next five years — for society as a whole and for industry in particular — covering areas such as industrial upgrading, technology development, and other priorities with direct implications for machinery and equipment manufacturers. It will also highlight strengths, bottlenecks, and structural weaknesses within the industrial system.

In this exclusive session, we will present the key signals emerging from the plan and provide an initial expert assessment of what they – alongside other key strategic factors at the outset of the 15th FYP period – could mean for German and European companies, both with and without investment in China.

Speaker: Markus Herrmann, Co-Founder and Managing Director of China Macro Group (CMG), Alex Zheng, Consultant, CMG
