Every year we are seeing more and more highly-educated women enter into traditional male-dominated industries. Whether it is in the tech, finance, legal, medical, F&B, or even in the film industry, we can now see an increasing number of inspiring and highly-accomplished female role-models.
But as we fixate on their incredible achievements, it is easy for us to overlook the unique challenges that they still face everyday. Across the board in almost every industry, women are still earning a smaller salary than men in the same industry and position. Senior management roles are still significantly more likely to be occupied by men. And while marriage and having children are supposed to be a very normal, everyday part of life, they have become the greatest obstacle to women's career advancements.
Because of this, almost every career woman would question their own choices at one point. Should they just accept that this is the way that it will always be? Or should they work to create a new standard for what a successful woman should look like?
Join us on October 29 to listen to the stories of four women who have built incredible careers in male-dominated industries such as aviation, tech, and engineering. Gain insight into how they turned their disadvantages into advantages and how you can also tackle the various challenges you face in your personal and professional life.
