Join us this Friday, November 29th, as we invite Rebecca Kanthor, co-founder of Hand in Hand International Children's Music Festival, to discuss how she and her husband are using music to bring families together and bridge cultures.
Hand in Hand Music Festival grew from a few questions husband-and-wife team Liu Jian and Rebecca Kanthor were asking themselves after they had kids.
The answer was to create a touring music festival tailored especially to kids and families and then bring the top musicians making music for families from around the world to perform.
With a goal of bringing bands from 10 countries to 100 cities in China, since 2017 they've brought bands from four countries to 20 cities so far and are creating a new standard for family entertainment in China.
Rebecca will discuss the challenges, risks, unexpected successes, and long-term rewards of working to transform children's music here.
After her talk there's time to discuss and share your thoughts with Rebecca.
