Tov! Open House and End-of-Summer Party: September 8.

General Information
· We will meet at WeWork at Fuxing Lu 1237 复兴路1237号 unless otherwise arranged.
· Tov! starts promptly at 10:00am Sundays we are in session. We only have two hours with your children, so please be prompt.
· Tov! class schedules will be available in mid-August.
· We will continue to use a modified curriculum adapted from the Institute of Southern Jewish Life in the US. Teachers and Tov! parents are working to refine our curriculum to make it better.
· Students in Nitzanim, Aleph, and Bet will be automatically enrolled in PJ Library and receive Jewish books on a regular basis. More information about PJ Library is available at www.pjlibrary.org.
· There will be some extracurricular programing added throughout the year (Family Shabbats, Field Trips, etc.). These will have an additional cost.
· There will be an adult discussion every time Tov! meets led by community members. Please contact Joshua.kurtzig@icloud.com if interested to participate/lead a session.
Classes
- Nitzanim (2 to 4/5).
- Aleph (Over 5 to 7).
- Bet (8 to 10).
- Shorashim (11 to 12).
- Young Leaders Program (those having bar/bat mitzvah in 2019). New this year, YLP teens will work towards their bar mitzvahs in the first part of the year and then then join in Jewish volunteering and leadership opportunities.
2019-2020 Fees
Fees go to pay for our Tov! organizer, curriculum fees, materials, special events and treats for the kids, rent at WeWork, and Hebrew teachers. Fees for Tov! this year have increased by an average of 7% over last year to cover higher operating costs of our space and other expenses. Fees are listed below.
- Kehilat Shanghai members receive discounted fees. To start or renew your membership, click here. (You must be a member to receive the membership discount.)
- 2nd/ 3rd/ 4th child discount: 5% (please contact info@kehilatshanghai.org for this)
- Children of volunteer teachers receive a 50% discount on fees (please contact info@kehilatshanghai.org for this)
- Scholarships are available for a limited number of Tov! students thanks to the generosity of several Kehilat Shanghai members.
