The holiday season is here! You may love giving gifts, but sometimes struggle with finding the perfect gift for that certain someone in your life. Maybe it's a relative you don't know well enough to know what they would like, a friend or spouse who buys everything they want before you can get it for them, or someone who is into technology or some other interest that you know nothing about and don't feel equipped to select a gift for. Sure, you can give money or gift certificates, but sometimes it starts to feel like a meaningless wash when you receive these same things from them.
Community Center Shanghai (CCS) wishes to help you start a new tradition, the Gift of Giving, where you do something kind for someone in need or donate to a special cause or organization as your "gift" to each other. This can bring others so much more joy than the more traditional exchange of tangible gifts.
CCS has designed a special way you can show the kindness of giving this holiday season! By honoring the spirit of the gift of giving to your loved ones and as a way to give back to our community in a very meaningful way:
1) You can purchase counseling sessions that will be donated to those here who need support but who cannot afford mental health services. CCS counselors will provide these sessions to those in need in our community and CCS will send a donation certificate to you which you can gift to your friend or loved one to show that you have donated counseling sessions in their honor.
2) You can purchase a voucher that can be redeemed for CCS Counseling services is also a wonderful gift idea.
Please consider joining us in this special holiday project. You can purchase as many hours of counseling to be donated or voucher to be redeemed as you'd like. Even if you don't purchase one full donated hour, you can give whatever you would like towards an hour and your gift will combine with the gifts of others to provide a full hour for someone in need by our qualified mental health professionals.
2020 has been a rough year for so many people in uncountable ways, so I invite you to consider join our CCS family in this tradition. There are lots of people out there who need a helping hand and who could use a little extra support and encouragement.
