Flight Risk

An unprecedented slump in global travel has ravaged the global airline industry as the coronavirus crisis tightens borders and keeps people at home.

David Yu, an internationally recognized and widely cited expert in global aviation, will examine how the industry is suffering and how it will change in a post-coronavirus world.

With air traffic unlikely to recover for years, airlines face a long period of weak revenues, debt pressures and the risk of bankruptcy or nationalization.

The talk will also address how China's airlines are faring versus their embattled global counterparts.

David is Professor of Finance at NYU Shanghai and is the author of a recently-published book, Airplane Investments as an Asset Class. His website is here
