Shenzhen International School of Design, Harbin Institute of Technology(SISD) was officially approved by the Ministry of Education on November 11th, 2020 as an unincorporated Sino-foreign cooperative education institution founded by Harbin Institute of Technology and Zurich University of the Arts. Located in Shenzhen, supported by Shenzhen Municipal Government. With the global extensive influence of both parties, SISD is supported jointly by IAAC and State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart (ABK). These four higher education institutions jointly confirm the strategy, concept and vision of SISD, and formulate talent cultivation curriculum, establish academic committees and plan campus infrastructures.

哈尔滨工业大学深圳国际设计学院是2020年11月11日由教育部批准的非独立法人中外合作办学机构，合作办学主体为哈尔滨工业大学和苏黎世艺术大学，办学地点在深圳，由深圳市政府提供属地管理、支持与服务。借助合作办学双方在全球的广泛影响力，学院得到西班牙加泰罗尼亚高等建筑研究院和德国斯图加特国立造型艺术学院的共同支持，四个国内外高等教育机构共同确定学院的发展定位、理念与愿景，制定人才培养方案，构建学院学术组织，规划教育基础设施。
