Shabbat services led by Rabbi Morrison who is co-leading a Lehrhaus trip with Fred Rosenbaum, the Founding Director Emeritus of Lehrhaus Judaica, and with Ariel Goldstein of Tiyul Jewish Journeys (https://www.tiyuljewishjourneys.com/).
About Lehrhaus Judaica
Lehrhaus Judaica is an unique entity within the San Franciso Bay Area, serving over 1,500 adults annually: it is the most extensive organization staunchly committed to non-denominational pluralism that provides lifelong Jewish learning within the region.
"Our diverse activities include seminars; language study; Kevah Groups (curated, home-based learning with extraordinary teachers); Community Text Circles engaging with Talmud, Zohar, and Jewish Thought; daylong public events; language and text courses, and classes in Jewish and Yiddish culture; and educational tours throughout the world. Inspired by Franz Rosenzweig, the founder of the German Lehrhaus, and his Lehrhaus colleagues, Martin Buber and Abraham Joshua Heschel, we believe that the highest level of learning occurs when student and teacher exchange places in educational settings -- many Lehrhaus participants have become facilitators of our programs -- and when questions become more important than answers. We serve non-synagogue affiliated adult learners, and we also functioned as the adult education provider for area synagogues and their congregants. We collaborate with JCCs, the JFCS Holocaust Center, synagogues, museums, and other Jewish institutions across nine counties in order to meet the educational needs of our fast-growing, highly diverse community"
