Join Lifeline for our monthly R U OK? Community Workshops in partnership with Community Center Shanghai!!

Lifeline's 3-hour R U OK? workshop helps community members like you build the confidence and skills to support someone you are concerned about. This interactive workshop will take you through the 4 steps of having a meaningful conversation and, importantly, how to support someone getting the help they may need. Learn how to ask "R U OK?", check-in with yourself, listen effectively, encourage someone to come up with an action plan that works for them, and how-to check-in and follow-up so the connection and sense of support between you stays strong.

Participants can expect to receive some valuable guidance on the steps to having a meaningful conversation, as well as some training in suicide ideation that destigmatizes conversations about suicide and informs about signs of risk and why it's important to ask someone you're concerned about how they're doing.

Workshop participants will receive a certificate of completion.
