[Postponed] Step into Weihai: Explore Business Opportunities

In association with Weihai Municipal Bureau of Commerce, SwissCham Shanghai is delighted to invite you to attend the Promotion Conference "Step into Weihai: Explore Business Opportunities" on Thursday, June 1.

Weihai, located at the easternmost end of the Shandong Peninsula and in the center of Northeast Asia, is the closest China city to Korea across the sea. The city covers a total area of about 5,799.84 square kilometers with a population of 2.9065 million. Weihai is China's first "National Sanitary City", the first National Excellent Tourism City Cluster, the China Habitat Environment Award winner, and UN-Habitat Scroll of Honor for Improving the Living Environment. It has been awarded as "Dubai International Award for Best Practices to Improve the Living Environment" City and "China-EU Strategic Cooperation on Urbanization" City, known as the most livable city for human habitation by friends at home and abroad.

Weihai is one of the first opening-up coastal cities in China, implementing international city development and fostering Weihai as a fine city. It vigorously cultivates eight industrial clusters of new information technology, new medicine and medical devices, advanced equipment and intelligent manufacturing, carbon fiber and other composite materials, new energy，marine biology and health care food, fashion and leisure sports products, and health care tourism. A good number of Fortune 500 companies and multinational companies such as Marquardt (Germany), Bekaert (Belgium), Berger (Germany), HP (the United States), Howden (the United States) have set up plants in Weihai. Meanwhile, in Weihai, local enterprises grow up with the city and have created great value to their industrial market, becoming the invisible champion of the industry. This time, we invite representatives from the Wego Group and Weida Group to share with us their development history and future cooperation opportunities.

Stage II: Presentations delivered by national level development zones of Weihai focusing on medical device industry, marine equipment industry and equipment manufacturing industry

Stage III: Presentations delivered by Wego Group and Weida Group about the development history and future cooperation opportunities.

Stage IV: Q&A between enterprises during tea break.
