The theme of this years Ball is "Hollywood - Ireland On Screen" – a celebration of Ireland in Cinema and with so many Irish Actors nominated this awards season this theme couldn't be more timely! 

DRESS CODE

This is a black-tie event.  Come in your best tuxedo/ballgown or let old Hollywood inspire your outfit choice this year. Think Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Ingred Bergman, Elizabeth Taylor or Laurence Olivier, Clarke Gable, Gary Cooper and Humphrey Bogart. 

Dressing up is optional and you'll have plenty of opportunities to embrace some Old Hollywood opulence throughout the night. Below are some pictures for inspiration.

Lucky Draw Charity Recipient



At the core of the Beijing Irish Ball, we believe in giving back to those less privileged in our community. Our Chosen Charity this year to benefit from our Lucky Draw will be

the Migrant Childrens Foundation.

Founded in 2010, MCF is a voluntary non-profit organisation that provides educational opportunities and resources for disadvantaged children in Beijing and Tianjin. This includes giving children medical checkups and eye tests as well as dental care to ensure that they are both fit and healthy while benefiting from their schooling.

Their Mission ethos comprises three key themes: Cultural Exchange, Giving Back and Sustainability.

Helen Boyle OBE, Founder & CEO believes in improving children's educational needs and cultural awareness. MCF recognises the importance of not only the services provided to the children but also the fact that those that provide the services are also benefiting from the experiences of engaging with the children. This 'giving back' factor is also emphasized in all their programs. Most importantly, they always seek sustainable development, focusing not just on the children's present but also on their futures, where possible.
