Táimid ar ais!

The 28th Annual St Patrick's Day Irish Ball will be held on Saturday June 3rd 2023 in the luxurious surroundings of the Kempinski Hotel, Beijing Yansha Centre.

The 'Beijing Irish Ball', as it's more commonly known, first took place in 1992, when it was the first such ball to be held within Beijing's small expat community. Over the years it has evolved to become the leading international ball by raising significant funds for local charities.

This year's annual black-tie event looks to celebrate some of Ireland's literary talents with special recognition for one very witty Irish poet and playwright Mr. Oscar Wilde. Join us for a 'Wilde Night' with a sumptuous five-course banquet, Irish music and dancing into the small hours.

Guests will enjoy a pre-dinner reception, enjoy some lively music, and have an opportunity to meet with the special guest of honour, Irish Ambassador to China HE Ms. Ann Derwin.

Dress Code

This is a black-tie event but with a Victorian twist. The dress code for the night is Victorian era Aesthetic, which means big frills, bonnets, top hats, petticoats and full skirts. Dressing up is optional and you'll have plenty of opportunities to embrace some flamboyance throughout the night. Below are some pictures for inspiration.

Most outlandish will be rewarded!
