CCS is pleased to present a 5 part educational series on how to manage health at all stages of life. Our expert nutritionist, Najma Mohamed brings years of experience and knowledge in the following areas, but not limited to: digestive ailments, IBS, Crohn's, food allergies and intolerances, autoimmune disease and women's health.

  • WOMEN'S HEALTH PART I

An introduction to hormones and their affect on the women's emotions, physical pain, and energy levels. An introduction to women's hormones and what are their functions and balancing hormone using foods such as seeds, supplements, and herbal medicine. We will also discuss what are symptoms of hormone dysfunction and what do they mean for the rest of your body?

  • WOMEN'S HEALTH PART II

Tuesday May 25th 10:00 - 11:30 


A deeper look at different hormonal events (menstruation and menopause) that happen in the body, and what it can mean for your health. Discussion around the symptoms of menopause; which hormones are decreased and how does that effect body temperature, bone strength, fatigue levels, and mood. Learn to chart your cycle, foods to eat/avoid, what to ask your doctor, and how to use western and eastern herbs to balance hormones.

  • FUNDAMENTALS

A great class that focuses on what foods our body needs and how much. We will also discuss the required daily amount of vitamins and minerals and how they contribute to a functioning body. Last, we will discuss how to correct both macronutrient, vitamin and mineral deficiency, daily vitamin and minerals requirements

 

  • GUT HEALTH

Our gut is responsible for making energy out of food for whole body repair and growth. Gut dysfunction can lead to depression, anxiety, anemia, autoimmune illnesses and so much more. In this class we will  identify gut malfunction symptoms and what you should ask your doctor for blood and physical tests. We will also cover how to heal the gut using food, supplements and both eastern and western herbs.

  • TEEN HEALTH

An in-depth class about how much protein, fat, and carbohydrates should be consumed by teens for mental wellness, energy, and physical strength. We will also focus on how to reduce acne.
