Exhibition & Talk
Abraham Lincoln's assassination. Japan's WWII capture of Shanghai. America's coronavirus crisis.
Veteran journalist Zhang Lifen's collection of original newspapers covers some of history's biggest stories.
The former associate editor of the Financial Times -- and now Fudan University professor of journalism -- will guide us through his personal archive of front pages.
They are currently on display at an exhibition in Shanghai.
The papers aren't just first drafts of history but a unique record of how newspapers have changed -- right up to today's slow death of print journalism.
THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY OFF-RECORD. TALK SHOULD NOT BE RECORDED OR REPRODUCED.
