Event Details
Dear VDMA Members,
Since April 1st Shanghai is undergoing a city wide lockdown, which has not only brought everyday life to a standstill, but also production activities. By the end of April the government announced a white list with 666 manufacturing companies to be able to resume production again. However, for medium sized mechanical engineering companies it is still difficult to reopen their production.
On May 3rd the government announced a regulatory for resuming work, especially for industrial companies in the city. In this online event we would like to share the experience of the reopening of VDMA members in Shanghai. Therefore, we have asked VDMA members who are located in different districts in Shanghai to share their current experiences and how they are finding their way back to work and production during these difficult times.
The panelists are listed below:
- Peter Garimort, General Manager, Engel Machinery located in Minhang (10 Minutes)
- Lieven van Heddegem, General Manager, IPTE located in Minhang (10 Minutes)
- James Wang, Managing Director, Rittal located in Songjiang (10 Minutes)
- Markus Schultz, CEO, ViscoTec located in Pudong (10 Minutes)
- Charlie Yan, CEO, Weiss Automation located in Jiading (10 Minutes)
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, 11th of May from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. We are offering time for an open discussion and see how the different areas in Shanghai are executing the opening regulations. Hopefully you will be able to get a few takeaways from the meeting for your own company in order to start your application process and get back to business.
We are looking forward to welcome you to this mechanical engineering experience exchange.
Kind regards,
VDMA China
