Event Details

Communication and transparency are fundamental aspects in the transition to a net zero economy. As countries commit to becoming net zero, expectations and regulations are imposed over businesses to align with such goal, having to lower emissions and disclose their results.

But what ensures that progress is reported evenly at a global scale? How can businesses determine what is important to disclose and how to do it?

For these and other reasons, different international organisations have established frameworks that provide a global baseline for sustainability disclosure. These standards ensure that current information needs are met and offer sector clarity through tailored guidance for companies.

The challenge lies in that the reporting environment is quickly developing as new climate science is discovered and legislation passed. This changing regulatory environment puts pressure on businesses, which must learn and adapt in order to comply with stringent policies.

On this occasion, PwC will provide a session where key insights on the evolving international standards will be explained. They will be joined by guest speakers from AustCham members Cargill and ConocoPhillips, to share their experiences of sustainability reporting in the field. Join to learn how to successfully navigate the reporting landscape and achieve compliance and international recognition. Important reporting-related topics will be addressed, including the recent disclosure standards released by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) on 26 June.

This is a hybrid event. Tickets may be purchased for online or in-person participation. In-person participation is subject to approval.
