Community Center Shanghai (CCS) is proud to offer, once again, this is a one-of-a-kind, unique camp that aims to instill the concept of giving and service in the youth of Shanghai. When kids discover early on that they have the power to make a difference it sets a foundation for a lifetime of giving back. This exciting and engaging day camp will not only teach participants about the importance of giving back but also aims to build emotional intelligence and empathy through service to others.

Campers will visit local charities, learn from guest speakers, and participate in fun, hands-on activities revolving around teamwork, leadership, and helping those in need. Each day of the camp will have its own theme of service.



The key learning, we hope the campers will come away with: 

• The role and responsibility of self towards others and the community.
• Seeds of empathy, caring, and compassion are present from early in life, but it is in the daily acts of service that children become caring, empathetic, and ethical adults. 
• Giving and service starts from one's immediate community – there are many opportunities to contribute to the community you live in. 
• Happiness comes from simple acts of service, kindness and empathy. 

Topics and Schedule：

* Monday: The Power of Community Service

Day of introductions, reflections, and defining what it means to give and serve.

* Tuesday: Poverty & Homelessness

Supporting those in need and our community's less fortunate populations.

* Wednesday: Environmental Awareness

Having the power to help the planet and your community's environment.

* Thursday: Animal Welfare

Empathetic skills that can be gained by being aware of animal welfare.

* Friday: Being a Global Citizen of Giving

Giving is not only local but global – sow the seed of serving at a young age and instill the principle of giving wherever you are worldwide!

Session 2: Pudong Center: July 19-23, 2021, 9:00am-3:30pm daily

           Address of Pudong Center: 3rd Floor, Block 3, No. 1146 of Biyun Rd, Pudong, Shanghai.

Please use the Gate at Huangyang Rd（No. 65 Huangyang Rd, Pudong）to enter the parking lot if you need to park your car.
