Company Visit to DEHN and LX Precision

It is our pleasure to invite you to visit two SwissCham member companies in Shanghai, DEHN and LX Precision, on Friday, November 19.

DEHN is one of the leading manufacturer of external lightning and surge protection as well as earthing/grounding components. To raise awareness of the danger of lightning and its risks, we will have the opportunity to visit DEHN's laboratory for a demonstration that will simulate lightning strikes and show the effects on electrical installations without and with the correct installed surge protection. In addition, Erich H. Reuss will cover – briefly - the following topics in terms of protection against lightning and surge:

• External and internal protection
• Lightning protection and its efficiency
• Surge protection: for power supply and technical building equipment
• Damages induced: increasing costs, stopping production, financial loss, environmental issues

LX Precision is an internationally renowned provider of leading industries, including medical, automotive, telecom, and aerospace. To live up to the confidence of its customers and its self-imposed commitment, LX provides its client with precise high-quality products. During the afternoon, we will conduct a factory tour and Nicolas Musy will shed some light on the following two topics:

   1) Efficiency through digitization

   2) Accessing opportunities from dual circulation

LX Precision (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is 100% owned by a Swiss holding. LX was established in 2001 and started in the telecom market manufacturing high precision parts for mobile phone networks. In 2004 LX entered into the orthopedics market making bone screws for human implantation. In 2005 LX further diversified into the automotive components market manufacturing high precision parts for engine management system. In 2009 LX started to produce aerospace components for the sensor systems.
