The first Discover Germany was held in 2017 due to the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and Germany, the Consulate General of Germany Chengdu and the German Chamber of Commerce South & Southwest China jointly organized China's first concentrated promotion of German brands, products, and culture and achieved great success.

In 2019, the German Chamber of Commerce and General Consulate of Germany Chengdu will hold the 3rd Discover Germany once again to promote more German consumer products and culture.

2017年, 值中德两国建交45周年，中国德国商会华南及大西南地区与德国驻成都总领事馆两大德国官方机构联合正式推出中国首个集中推广德国品牌、产品与文化的唯一官方活动—— "走进德国"嘉年华，并取得巨大成功，受到中德双方政府、企业与观众的一致好评。
