Info for New Members - About VDMA CEO Breakfast
The CEO Breakfast series is aiming for Top Executives from VDMA members in China to inform them about current lead topics that affect their businesses.
In cooperation with selected industrial and business experts the target is to provide a CEO Breakfast series to VDMA members who are having concerns and need strategic guidance for their operations in China. During the breakfast time you will have this unique opportunity to exchange ideas with your peers and learn from the experts and from each other.
Objective:
Last year we have introduced and deeply discussed the Data Protection Law. This year we will continue to offer a series of events around this topic. In our CEO Breakfast we will give VDMA members the opportunity to further discuss their concerns. For this round we have invited Michael Tan (Partner) from Taylor Wessing to share his insights and knowledge on this topic. However, instead of going into a full presentation mode we would like to encourage this CEO Breakfast to aim for exchange and discussion. We have all learned in many events and studies about the regulation on paper. Now it is time to discuss and exchange the practical and operational side of it.
Below are questions that could be of focus:
- how are your peers conducting their data compliance exercises?
- what is new in 2022?
- what are the areas of focus for a German industrial company to streamline efficiency?
- will existing General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) effort help?
- what is a recommendable best practice?
Dr. Michael Tan has helped numerous multinational companies in assessing their data compliance exposure in China as well as mitigating such exposure. He will share his experience and insight and is also looking forward to discussing your concerns and questions regarding this topic.
