CV, Curriculum Vitae, resumes – call it what you like – these documents are almost always one of the most critical factors when it comes to job hunting. They serve as the first impression that a prospective employers gets of you, and, therefore, producing a strong CV is vital.

But writing one can often feel like a minefield. After all, what is the best possible way to represent who you are on just a single page? And with increasingly cutthroat competition in the job market and most recruiters only spending as little as 30 seconds reading a CV, how can you be certain your application stands out from the crowd?

If that doesn't sound bad enough, studies suggest many female candidates struggle to get their resumes noticed because they are simply too modest. This is clearly counterproductive because the whole point of a CV is to sell yourself and draw attention to your achievements.

In the face of these challenges, Beijing Women's Network is delighted to join forces with Vanessa Jencks on a professional skills webinar on how to make sure your job application packs a powerful punch! In this informative workshop, Vanessa will draw on her vast experience in HR to reveal how you can:

  • Stay clear of the most common CV mistakes
  • Give your application that extra edge
  • Craft a powerful personal statement
