It's an exciting time for Kehilat Shanghai! Many community members are back from summer travel. Our kids are starting school, and we're back to work. We've welcomed some new residents to Shanghai - including our new Community Coordinator, Julia Ullman. Let's celebrate all these new beginnings with "Back to Shanghai" Shabbat Services and Dinner!
We welcome another new Shanghai resident, Jamie Fleishman, who will lead us in Kabbalat Shabbat Services.
Friday September 6. Come for services or just for dinner!
6:15 pm - Kabbalat Shabbat Services
7:00 pm - Shabbat Blessings and Welcome, followed by Dinner
All foreign passport holders and their families are welcome - Adults, Families, Young Professionals, Students etc.
Meet Julia Ullman, our new Community Coordinator! Julia is from Cleveland, Ohio and was most recently living in Jerusalem, Israel. She arrived in Shanghai last week and is excited to meet everyone this Shabbat!
Our service will be led by Jamie Fleishman. Jamie has previously lived in Beijing and was an active participant of Kehillat Beijing, as well as Moishe House. He was one of Kehilat Beijing's regular Shabbat Service leaders during his time there. He is now living in Shanghai as a student at NYU-Shanghai! Jamie is excited to help Kehilat Shanghai find our own spiritual voice and melodies through more regular Shabbat services.
