Daniel is General Manager, Greater China, based in Beijing. Daniel leads a team of 111 staff across 9 offices delivering high quality trade and investment services to companies in Australia and Greater China.
Daniel joined Austrade in 2014, most recently leading the Government and Partnerships division. In his time at Austrade, Daniel has held a number of senior roles, including leading the reorganisation and restructure of the agency as the General Manager of the Positioning for our Future project.
Prior to moving to Austrade, Daniel worked in a number of Australian Government Agencies, most recently in Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). Daniel’s positions in DIBP included Regional Director East Asia, responsible for visa operations across North Asia and the Mekong economies, also based in Beijing.

Andrew Carter commenced in the role of Trade Commissioner (Education) (Greater China) at the Australian Embassy in Beijing in December 2020. Andrew is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of Austrade’s promotion of Australian international education across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Andrew has been with Austrade since 2015, most recently leading a Policy and Ministerial team in Canberra, and previously in positions in the United States focused on education and investment. Prior to his career at Austrade, Andrew has worked at the Embassy of Australia in Washington DC as a research officer for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and in policy roles in Canberra at the Department of Defense and the Department of Agriculture.
Andrew is admitted to practice law in New South Wales and has a Masters in International Law (with Merit) from the Australian National University, and Bachelor Degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Newcastle.

安博宇先生自 2020 年 12 月起担任澳大利亚驻华大使馆商务处(即澳大利亚贸易投资委员会) 大中华地区教育专员，常驻北京。他负责总体指导在中国大陆、香港和台湾地区的澳大利亚 国际教育推广工作。安博宇先生于 2015 年加入澳大利亚贸易投资委员会(澳贸委)，在美 国担任过教育及投资的相关职务，后来回到堪培拉领导政策和部长协调团队。
在此之前，他曾在华盛顿特区的澳大利亚大使馆担任外交贸易部的研究官员，并曾在堪培拉 的国防部和农业部担任政策咨询方面的职务。
安博宇先生具有新南威尔士州执业律师执照并获得澳大利亚国立大学的国际法硕士学位(优 等)以及纽卡斯尔大学的文学和法学学士文凭。

A Collingwood supporter born and raised in Melbourne, Paul’s first visit to China was on a scholarship to East China Normal University while undertaking a Diploma of Languages (Mandarin) at La Trobe University. Since then, Paul has studied in Dalian, Beijing, and Taipei.

Paul is a Trade and Investment Commissioner at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission’s Beijing Post at the Australian Embassy. Paul manages Austrade’s investment promotion and facilitation work across North China, and manages Austrade’s Shenyang Post. Paul previously worked for the North Asia and Investment section of Austrade in Canberra, the Landing Pad team in Melbourne, and Tourism Programs for the Approved Destination Status scheme – which allows Chinese tourists to travel to Australia in guided groups.

Paul joined Austrade in 2017 from the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, where he worked on aviation security policy in the Office of Transport Security.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Business and Master of Tourism from La Trobe University in Melbourne, and a Master of Enterprise Management from Renmin University of China

Jessica Harrison is the Trade and Investment Commissioner at the Australian Embassy in Beijing. Jessica leads the Consumer Health team across Greater China and also has responsibility for Marketing and Communications.

Austrade has a proud history of helping businesses pursue their global ambitions and Jessica is passionate about bringing the best of Australia to the rest of the world. Her former roles at Austrade have included client key account management; service design and transformation; and as an adviser to the CEO.

Prior to Austrade, Jessica worked in a range of roles for the British Government as a Senior Policy Advisor in London.
