This performance is just one element of Beyond the Bund, a social enterprise that uses artistic mediums to engage people with important social issues.

How can the performing arts help build and entertain a community while also introducing it to new concepts? What is the creative process involved in devising these experiences?

Join us Friday, February 15, as we invite Sarah Ali, founder of Beyond the Bund (BtB), to discuss her experience of running a creative collective for social good—what she likes to call 'Purposeful Entertainment.'

During the talk she will discuss different aspects of conducting BtB, including: strategies required for building impactful projects in China, her perceived future growth, and the natural development of the creative process.

BtB is about showcasing socially relevant content for the community, aiding corporates in engaging with CSR or business for good missions, and more recently, providing local schools with modules that help in creative expression of global concepts. It creates a platform in which both the participants and audience peer at history and social issues through the lens of performing arts.
