The “New Normal” continues to shape China’s business environment with dramatically changed characteristics. This is not only true for China. Changing market conditions are felt in economies worldwide. These developments strongly influence the corporate working environment resulting in changing organizational structures, new working process, new job responsibilities - and eventually to the question: Which skill set do employees need to have to be successful in their position and be able to drive a company’s success?
In order to tackle this challenging question, the academic world and the industry/business world need to cooperate closely.
At this Chamber Meeting, two experts who have rich project experience at the interface between the education sector and the industry sector, will share their experience and point of views on the topic “Managing education opportunities for a changing working environment”.
Prof. Katja Windt, member of the supervisory board of Deutsche Post AG, member of the executive board of the German Logistics Association BVL, member of the National Academy of Science and Engineering acatech, president of Jacobs University will:

2.and share her practical experience in 3 real-life case studies:

- Which challenges and targets existed? How were the targets realized? How were the business expectations and the science perspective aligned?
- Executive education of overseas high potentials at a Chinese SOE: How was a suitable program developed and put in place?
- Logistic consulting services and digital transformation: How were production process optimized? How did the company successfully educate its people?
After the case sharing, Prof. Windt will enter into a panel discussion with Dr. Ardin Djalali, member of the Council of Europe, North-South Centre, Lisbon and Director International Programs at the Steinbeis University.
