Healthy Living Series: Depression and Anxiety for Modern Beijing Women
Event Details
Women are twice as likely to suffer from anxiety compared to men. And when anxiety is present, depression is commonly co-occurring. Both of these illnesses manifest themselves differently in women than they do in men; they have different triggers, and should be addressed with unique approaches. However, treatment options and resources available for women are often NOT gender dependent unless a woman is pregnant.
This event seeks to parse apart gender and mental health, discuss stigma and mental health in China, and also provide women with tools for their professional and personal lives.
We are also thrilled to partner with one of Beijing's best loved venues, the Bookworm. The price of your ticket covers entry and a free drink at the bar, and if you get hungry, don't forget the Bookworm has a full menu.
