WEConnect International in China is launching its Women Empowerment Advisory Council on May 10th, 2016 at the U.S. ambassador’s official residence 4:00pm—8:30pm.

WEConnect International in China aims to support women with emphasis on entrepreneurs to grow both personally and professionally. We bring together a dedicated group of powerful women and men to support and sponsor the growth and sustainability of women entrepreneurs. We will outline several key 2016 initiatives, in particular the upcoming WEConnect International in China Marketplace to be held later this year.

The WEConnect International in China Women Empowerment Advisory Council members are leaders selected from various multinational corporations (both WEConnect corporate members and non-members), industry leaders, partner organizations, women entrepreneurs, and male champions, as well as other key stakeholders committed to women’s empowerment.

These members are influential leaders as well as change agents for women’s empowerment in their communities and serve as powerful role models. They are willing and passionate to lend their name and resources to support the WEConnect International in China effort.

This is a two-part program that will begin with a match-maker meeting between women business enterprises and corporations, and then an introduction of the new WEConnect International in China Women Empowerment Advisory Council.

This event will also provide a unique opportunity for women entrepreneurs as well as corporate members supported by WEConnect International in China to gain greater exposure and raise their profile among media, key businesses, international organizations and government stakeholders. It will also highlight the importance of supporting women entrepreneurs and raise awareness of the fact that women business owners are key players in global economic development and sustainability.
