Language Workshop

For many Chinese language learners, speaking in Chinese about interests or social issues is one of the most challenging areas. Beyond daily and professional Chinese, these workshops will run parallel to the larger events of the Beijing Women's Network.

Each month, the main topic will be selected from the events happening that month. Individuals will have the chance to learn vocabulary related to the field and have opportunities to present or converse on the topic with live assistance from Chinese teachers.

This month's workshop will run complementary to the Professional Development Series' event on Corporate Social Responsibility: How Any Organization Can Make an Impact and Enhance Their Brand. Vocabulary words will be sent out prior and those that are interested in doing a brief presentation can prepare beforehand or day of.

• Discussion Topic: Corporate Social Responsibility
• Language Level: Intermediate/Advanced
• Format of the Workshop: Group case study and presentation practice. This workshop will provide three speakers with the opportunity to receive help from a teacher in preparing an oral presentation to be presented on the day of the workshop. Other participants will receive vocabulary words related to the topic and will also have the opportunity to practice with the guidance of a teacher.
