Gett is the story of one Israeli woman’s fight to press the rabbinical court to overrule her husband and grant her a divorce. The NY Times calls the film “hypnotic” and describes Vivian as “a woman who-even as she has been denied her freedom-retains a stubborn, transcendent humanity.”
The film will be followed by a discussion led by congregant Shula Shilon.
Admission is 100 RMB which covers two drinks.
