Dr. iur. Dr. phil. Adolf PETER, LL.M., MA, CSE is Professor at the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (SHUPL), Consultant at the international law firm Fieldfisher (Vienna Office) and Co-Chair of the Legal & Compliance Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai focusing on international commercial arbitration, the enforcement of ESG standards in international supply chains and EU law. A selection panel established by the European Commission found Dr. Peter suitable for appointment for the position of Arbitrator and Trade and Sustainable Development Expert in bilateral disputes under the EU’s trade agreements with third countries.
In his capacity as Certified Supervisory Expert recognized by the Austrian Economic Chambers (WKO) he holds specialized one-day seminars for the WKO in Vienna directed at supervisory board members of companies.
Dr. Peter is the author of numerous arbitration- and ESG-related publications in international law journals and the book “CSR and Codes of Business Ethics in the USA, Austria (EU) and China and their Enforcement in International Supply Chain Arbitrations” (ISBN: 978-981-33-6072-3).
He is listed as arbitrator in 10 international arbitration institutions, including the Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC), the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC), the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), the Shanghai Arbitration Commission (SHAC), the Singapore International Arbitration Center (SIAC Reserve Panel), the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), etc.

Josh is a corporate tax manager based in Shanghai. He has been with PwC China since 2013 and has more than 10 years of experiences in providing Chinese tax and business advisory services.

During the course of his professional career, Josh has been actively involved in providing tax and business consultations to clients in their various investment stages in China.  He has developed extensive knowledge in serving clients in various industries, including Pharmaceuticals, R&C, logistics, media, manufacturing, etc.

Josh has provided support and assistance to MNCs in China, including advisory on group restructuring, tax due diligence, designing inbound structures, advising tax efficient repatriation models, providing business solutions to MNCs on their daily operation, fulfilling various compliance requirements under PRC tax and regulatory regime.

Josh was seconded to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission at Shanghai Pudong District level in 2024, and established a good relationship with local governments.

Josh is a member of the Association of Certified Public Accountant.

Victor is a corporate tax partner of PwC China, focusing on providing in-depth and one-stop consulting services on business regulations, foreign exchange management and tax optimization for various Chinese enterprises and multinational groups.

Victor has provided professional consulting services to a number of renowned companies throughout their full life cycle, including market entry, daily operation and market exit. The services include corporate structure design, tax optimization for domestic business and cross-border transaction, tax analysis and planning for group restructuring and business transformation, IPO consulting, equity incentive plans, tax due diligence, tax review, offshore investment, investment and financing consulting, M&A consulting, and tax planning for high net-worth individuals, etc.

Through the network with local tax authorities established over the years and rich experiences, Victor has assisted domestic and foreign enterprises and individuals in obtaining tax incentives and special tax treatments, and assisted with the settlements for tax audits and tax disputes.

Victor also maintains good communication and cooperative relationship with local governments and relevant authorities. Victor has assisted Shanghai municipal government in compiling financial benefits for enterprises, and assisted numerous enterprises in applying for financial subsidies and various special funds.

Victor has served many Fortune 500 companies, the industry of which ranges across education, chemicals, semiconductor, health care, real estates, consumer products, biomedicine, manufacture, etc. Victor has accumulated rich industrial experience.

Victor was expatriated to PricewaterhouseCoopers in the United Kingdom and has extensive international tax exposure and service experience.

Victor graduated from Chinese University of Hong Kong with a bachelor degree in accountancy and is a Fellowship of Chartered Certified Accountants in the UK (FCCA).
