We are delighted to invite you to join the webinar with AnJie where the speaker will share insightful and updated cross-border data related topics.

Over the past few years, China has imposed some restrictions on cross-border data transfers. Like the European Commission, the Chinese regulators have recently issued a Standard Contract for Personal Information Exports (the Chinese "SCCs"). Qualified companies will need to sign the SCCs, conduct an impact assessment, and file with the Chinese regulators by 30 November 2023. It is important for companies that operate in China to take compliance actions as soon as possible to avoid legal consequences.

In this webinar, our speaker, Samuel Yang, will introduce all that you need to know about the SCCs, including:

1. The Chinese cross-border data transfer legal regime

Samuel will introduce the basic legal framework for cross-border data transfers in China, which consists of three "legal paths".

2. The SCCs as a legal path

Samuel will explain in detail about the conditions for using the SCCs, what the SCCs entail, and the procedures for the filing.

3. Challenges that lie ahead and how to address them

Samuel will then share his insight into the common problems that companies encounter during the filing process based on his rich practical experience.

4. Necessary steps

Samuel will finally break down the whole process into practicable steps, so that companies can conduct the work in a structured manner.
