    Head of Market Entry & Business Development

    With a 16 year background in banking in Germany, Marcus Wassmuth came to China in July 1994. Here he participated in the establishment of the branch of Commerzbank AG in Shanghai. For 7 years he was not only responsible for the organization and operation of the Branch, but also consulted clients with their market entrance in China. In 2001 he joint Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg’s (LBBW) representative office in Shanghai as their Chief Representative. In this capacity, Mr. Wassmuth helped customers of LBBW, in the majority small and medium sized companies form the southwest of Germany to establish their business in China and handle their market entrance in this country. In February 2017, he switched from LBBW to the Shanghai Branch of Unicredit S.p.A. as their Head of European Corporate Coverage China. In the new position, Mr. Wassmuth advised European clients of UniCredit Group from Italy, Germany and Austria in their financial activities in China and helped to provide tailored products for their financial needs. Since February 2020, he is the Head of Market Entry and Business Development at the German Industry & Commerce Greater China a subsidiary of the German chamber organization in Germany.

    Ms. Daisy Zhu is the Regional Manager Shanghai at the German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai. Before joining the German Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Zhu was heading the Marketing of Voith Paper Asia, a German owned global technology group which is one of the largest family-owned companies in Europe. She was responsible for whole Marketing in Asia with functions of Market Intelligence, Product Marketing and PR/GA & Events. Prior to Voith, Ms. Zhu studied and worked for MNC in Germany for more than 10 years. She holds Master Degree in Business Administration (Diplom Kauffrau).

    Alexander Prautzsch is a Tax Director at PwC China in the Shanghai office and is a member of the European Business Group.

    Alexander is committed to advising European, particularly German-speaking clients, on their investments in China. He is focused on Chinese, German and international tax matters for corporate clients as well as their employees. Typical projects of Alexander include investment advisory, restructurings, profit repatriation planning, employee assignments, cost cross-charges and supply chain planning projects

    Alexander is a German certified tax advisor (Steuerberater) and has lived and worked in Shanghai since October 2005. Prior to working in China, Alexander worked for three years in the international tax department in Frankfurt. Alexander is a German native speaker and fluent in English and Mandarin.

    Jan von Allwörden is head of the department underwriting in the division underwriting & financial risk management at Euler Hermes, who handles and administrates the German Export Credit Guarantee system on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany. He’s been with Euler Hermes for over 30 years, and has experience in all fields of underwriting, such as corporate finance, structured and project finance, as well as aircraft and ship finance. He is responsible for developing and delivering all types of coverage solutions for the protection of export financing transactions against commercial and political risks. In 2017/18, he set up the first ECA representative office for Euler Hermes outside Germany in Dubai.
    Jan von Allwoerden holds a degree in business administration from the University of Hamburg and is an appointed member of the Executive Management of Euler Hermes.

    Mr. Leichum worked from 2010 to 2015 at Pricewaterhouse Coopers AG in Hamburg as an underwriter in the field of export credit guarantees for the federal government. Prior to his new role at the AHK Singapore, he was a senior export finance specialist at DZ Bank AG and responsible for the Turkish market. The tasks included the acquisition, structuring and support of export finance transactions.
    Mr. Leichum graduated from the University of Trier with a Master’s degree in Finance and Management.

He has more than 20 years of experience in international banking, trade and export finance and payment solutions. He spent the last 12 years in the structuring of ECA-covered transactions and servicing exporters by the provision of financing solutions to enhance their sales activities and mitigate payment risk. Thilo acts as deal team leader and accompanies export finance transactions, from origination and structuring over the negotiation of ECA-cover until financial close.
