SwissCham Shanghai is delighted to invite you to attend our Seminar in cooperation with SNB and Stern Ingredients. During this event, we will discuss some of the the most relevant topics in China's F&B-Industry in 2021, by looking at them from different professional angles.
We have invited industry experts to cover the following topics:
IPR protection (patents, trade secrets) during administrative procedures (e.g. application procedure for obtaining high-tech company status: what protection mechanisms and punishments exist and are effectively enforced in practice?) + brief outlook to most important IPR-related changes (new Patent Law, Implementation Regulations and Examination Guidelines; Copyright Law).
Protection of IPR in relation to business partners (suppliers; distributors; other service providers, e.g. protection of blueprints for office, laboratory or production facilities from construction company).
Compliance in the Food Industry (Chopping Policy, Code of Conduct, Management Guidelines etc.): Legally binding effect of such documents in theory and in practice.
Food product labelling and declarations (rules of origin/geographical indications, allowed marketing claims, legal consequences in case of false labelling/declarations, labelling/declarations for specific product categories such as infant foods or health foods, differences between EU and China).
Current regulation of plant-based foods/novel foods (e.g. cultured meat).
Other important developments in the F&B-Industry (e.g. Draft Anti Food Waste Law, Administrative Measures for Registration of Overseas Manufacturers of Imported Foods).
We are looking forward to seeing you at the event!
