Event Details
Dear Kehilat Shanghai,
Every year at Passover our young children ask: "Why is this night different from all others?"
In less than 3 weeks, at our upcoming Pessach, we can add "why is this year's Passover different from all others?"
This year, we will be celebrating together not only our freedom and exodus from Egypt but also our emergence from the Covid-19 pandemic! We may be one of the very few Jewish communities in the world celebrating together as a community this year.
Join us on April 9th at 6:30pm at the Millenium Hotel for a special liberation Pesach. (Doors open 5:30, Seder will begin 6:30)
We will take the most stringent measures to continue to ensure the safety of all: green QR code only, temperature check, sanitized room, social distancing at the tables, and capping of the total number of participants. We will adapt the size of the room to the size of the group.
But as you can understand, we need more than ever to anticipate and plan ahead: RSVP by April 2 is a MUST.
Things are looking up in Shanghai, with most restrictions being lifted. We anticipate that the situation will be even better in 3 weeks time when we meet for Pesach. Should the situation however become worse again, we would keep you advised and refund anyone.
Stay healthy and we look forward to being together to celebrate this momentous Pesach!
