Living and working abroad is a huge challenge. Seconded employees need to adapt to a new culture, environment and even to different legal standards. In this workshop we will give a short overview on the key facts of the German and Chinese social security system.

In order to be properly covered it is needed to take a look at the different types of employment when working abroad. We will show which types of employment exist and their impact on the social security status and coverage.

Based on the different social security standards in Germany and China we will show what a reasonable coverage for expatriates and local hire should contain.
