Implementing Regulations of the PRC Foreign Investment Law: What to Know and What to Do

On 1 January 2020, the Foreign Investment Law, its Implementing Regulations and several other supporting documents entered into effect. The new regulations will bring markable changes to the foreign investment regime. In some media reports they are credited as starting a new era of foreign investment in the PRC.
This workshop will introduce the key issues of the new regulations and the impact they have on existing foreign invested enterprises (FIEs) and future investments into the PRC. Topics are:
- Key content of the new regulations
- Changes to corporate structure of joint ventures
- Actions to the taken by FIEs and investors
- Do the new regulations live up to their promise?
- New developments due to impact of COVID-19
