German GAAP Reporting for China Subsidiaries -

Requirements, Challenges & Best Practices

China GAAP is different and German GAAP even more, especially since China GAAP adopted more concepts from IFRS. German GAAP reportings have their own complexity and Chinese accountants may not be fully familiar with the underlying expectations.

But what is the magic of HBI and HBII? What level of information detail is required for German GAAP, also considering notes and disclosures? What are the key points which require attention by the Chinese accountant? What are the tweaks, twists and commonly seen pitfalls in practice? How can the reporting become more reliable, more efficient or even automized?

This session will shed light on best practice around German GAAP reporting for middle market enterprises with subsidiaries in China.

  • Which areas to pay specific attention to when setting up the German GAAP reporting?
  • What are the challenges around excel & co.?
  • What are the challenges around different ERP sytems between headquarter and Chinese subsidiary?
  • What are the areas Chinese accountants should better understand about German GAAP logic?
  • What are common mistakes and lessons learned?
  • How to best leverage the local ERP system for increased automisation & reliability?
