Improving EU Access to National and Regional Financial Incentives for Innovation in China – First experts' workshop
As part of the FPI Policy Support Facility project "Improving EU Access to National and Regional Financial Incentives for Innovation in China", a total of three experts' workshops will be organised in Shanghai and Beijing.
The first experts' workshop will take place on 20 March 2019 @ the Grand Kempinski Shanghai. It will bring together around 30 European R&D industry practitioners to discuss the subject of accessibility and reciprocity granted to them when applying to Chinese funding programmes for research and innovation, both at the national and in the Shanghai area. The purpose is to increase the awareness of European entities about funding opportunities at the local and national level, disseminate the preliminary findings of the project, and discuss and validate a series of recommendations which will feed into the 4th EU-China Innovation Cooperation Dialogue.
The first experts' workshop will feature the participation of: (i) representatives of the Shanghai administration (S&T commission); (ii) EU Member States consulates, innovation agencies, chambers of commerce; (iii) European enterprises, as well as representatives from ENRICH in China and the EU SME Centre.
A working lunch will follow with members of the R&D and ICT working groups of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China – the project's official partner and co-organiser of the event.
