What is the Annual General Meeting?
The AGM takes place each year to review the past year's performance, elect the incoming Executive Committee and consider any other business issues raised prior to the meeting.

Who can attend the AGM?

What is the Executive Committee?
The Executive Committee (ExCo) serves as the governing board of the BritCham SW. Comprising 10 elected members, the ExCo meets regularly to oversee the Chamber's strategic direction, financial management, and operational activities.

Who can vote at the AGM?
Only corporate voting member companies are entitled to vote. Each member company has one "nominated person" who is the main point of contact with the Chamber and normally this will be the person who attends the AGM to vote. However, any employee of a voting member company may vote on behalf of their company, provided that Britcham is notified beforehand. If more than one person attends from the same company then only one person may vote.

Who oversees the selection process?
Elections uphold the principles of transparency and integrity. This year, BritCham SW has invited a representative from the British Consulate-General Chongqing, to serve as the 'Returning Officer,' overseeing all stages of the election processโincluding vote counting at the AGM.
