Sometimes life's greatest lessons are the hardest to learn. Join us for the last Spotlight Dinner of 2018 with Judith Tuennisen from Hutong School to hear about her inspiring journey from prima ballerina to Chinese language academic.
Since early adulthood, Judith struggled to overcome several big obstacles to her happiness. Throughout her journey she wrestled with the expectations of society as well as those imposed on herself. Moving to China and immersing herself in a new culture provided a shift in mind-set that ultimately helped her to find mental and physical health as well as a new purpose.
She will share some of her hard-fought life lessons: Single-minded determination can be dangerous. Free yourself from others' expectations. Don't become a victim of perfection.
For this Spotlight Dinner, we are requiring pre-payment for the dinner cost of 75 RMB. There will be no additional cost required on the night of the event. Please email us in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.
Please note that the Spotlight Dinners are female-only events. All other Beijing Women's Network events are open to all genders. Tickets for this dinner are non-refundable and non-exchangeable as all proceeds are donated to charity. Please find out more information about other events here. BWN does not provide refunds for unused tickets.
