The E-Commerce Law of the People's Republic of China will take effect from January 1, 2019. For China, which has already entered the era of online consumption, although the publication of the E- Commerce Law is somewhat delayed, it not only affects the ever-changing e-commerce industry, but also penetrates into everyone's daily life. In addition, more and more enterprises believe that the new economy characterized by networking, knowledge management and globalization is an irreversible trend, and e-commerce will thus become the inevitable course for the development of enterprises. The E-Commerce Law interprets some long-standing problems in the blank or gray areas of law, such as the legal standardization of personal shoppers ("Daigou") and individual e-commerce operators, the identification of responsibility for online shopping disputes, and the protection of intellectual property rights as well as personal privacy in e-commerce business, which many enterprises are concerned about.
