The Beijing Women's Network is excited to invite you to our first ever Drink for Charity Event on November 1, 2018. All proceeds from the event will be go to support the charity, Xixi Garden to tackle issues around sexual abuse and assault in migrant communities in China. Since children are the most vulnerable in cases of sexual violence, Xixi Garden works to promote and provide sexual education to children in rural communities.
Designed to be a fun and engaging event after work hours, this Drink for Charity Event will allow Beijing Women's Network members to engage and network with each other while sampling some of the finest wines hand-picked by Fongyee Walker MW, China's first and only Master of Wine.
Fongyee is mainland China's most qualified wine educator having passed her Master of Wine (MW) examinations on top of years of experience as a teacher in a variety of areas. She is a leading WSET Certified Educator and Assessor teaching all over China; and is the only wine educator in mainland China currently permitted to teach the WSET's flagship qualification, the Level 4 Diploma in Wines & Spirits. There are only 380 MW's in the world, and Fongyee is the only MW in mainland China.
In between sampling wines, you will have the chance to learn from the Signature Wine Club (SigWine.com) about the history and background of each wine, the type of grapes used, its age, and the type of food to pair with each wine. You will also be able to engaging in interactive contests, win prizes, and snack off of some savory and sweet hors d'oeuvres generously provided by The City.

This event is open to the public, there are no restrictions on age, gender, or nationality. It is also open to all non-Beijing Women's Network members that may be interested in learning more about wine or connecting with our community.
Please Note: We are unable to provide fapiaos to attendees and tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Proceeds from Beijing Women's Network events go to support our partner charity, Xixi Garden who provides sex-education to children in rural China.
