On June 15, world-leading experts from China and abroad will meet in Beijing to exchange ideas and host a unique training program to promote the development of new-type think tanks with Chinese characteristics. The2018 High-level Seminar on World-leading Think Tanks is hosted by the University of Pennsylvania's Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTSCP), the Center for China & Globalization (CCG), the Center for Chinese Think Tank Research and Assessment at Nanjing University, and the Penn Wharton China Center.

A follow up to the first such event in 2017, the seminar aims to draw on international experience and best practices and promote in-depth exchange between Chinese and foreign experts from the think tank community, academia, and other related fields. This will support the upgrading and managerial innovation of Chinese think tanks. Through an in-depth face-to-face exchange of ideas, this unique panel of experts will share their experience and insights to explore the keyissues and challenges for think tank developmentin an age of economic and political flux.
